Intro from "І тут буде город":
Now that Billy was gone people really started talking about Lesia and Billy's secret affair, and eventually the news leaked out to the parents. Both the Lemkos and the Boykos were totally appalled with this, for they knew that a Boyko and a Lemko could never be together, because of their famous feud that existed between them for over thirty years. And what started this battle of egos? Words. Maybe something like "my dance ensemble's better than your dance ensemble, ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха". No it wasn't like that, it was much seriouser (sic) than that. Oh yeah, it was words but these were words that you could never take back. These were words that were spoken and cut straight to the bone and, uh, I can't remember, oh yeah, it was the "Hey Lemko, your капуста's a little sour this year, maybe I have to come over and show you how to do it next time, eh?" Instantly they became mortal enemies, and over the fence they would yell their own version of the капуста recipe.
