While that might seem to put the melody's authorship to rest, unfortunately Sadowsky regularly credited himself as the music's author for musical ''arrangements'', not just original compositions. For example, he credits the music to "Свята Ніч" (page 108) to himself as well, when that was very clearly not composed by him, but rather Franz Xaver Gruber.
