Mickey and Bunny always sang this after a verse of Canadian Pacific - Ray Griff. Intro from "Mickey and Bunny - Country Roads":
Canadian Pacific, carry me five thousand miles,Through the valleys and the sunshine,O'er the prairies big and wide,Through the highlands of Alberta,O'er the Rockies, tall and free.Canadian Pacific,‘cross my home from sea to sea. There have been many songs written about Canada by people like Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia, Gene MacLellan. "Canadian Pacific" was written by a Canadian artist Ray Griff and tells the story about a great railroad – the Canadian Pacific joining Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Ukrainian pioneers came to Canada over seventy years ago and brought many contributions to a new old land. One of the things they brought over from the Ukraine were beautiful songs, songs that told a story not only about Ukraine, but about Canada, the new homeland. On sunny Canadian days when flowers bloomed in the orchards, grown from seeds brought over from Ukraine, they sang songs like this: "The Marigolds" or "Чорнобривці".
